We had a great week's vacation to sunny St. John. We loved the hiking, swimming, boating, snorkeling (well Mike loved the snorkeling) and meeting lots of nice people. I read a couple great books. We ate good foods. Overall, it was a terrific sunny week's vacation during wet, gray March.
Now it's back to business including tutoring, family care, home projects and a continued focus on healthy living.
What's important?
Caregiving
My caregiving responsibilities continue, but those responsibilities have changed a lot since I have almost no authority over what's planned or how it is done. This continues to be a great challenge for me as most of what's happening is not what I would choose or think is best, but I've been outnumbered, and unless there's a true crisis, I simply have to do what I can without any control over the situation. This means I'll do my part when I can, and then focus on other matters in life. Will this bother me in time. I think I'm at peace with it since I've tried everything in my power to make the kind of changes that I believe are more positive and better with no success. There's truly not much more that I can do.
Home projects
We're in the midst of a large number of home and yard clean-up and improvement projects. This is a big focus right now.
Tutoring
I enjoy working with the students and want to keep a good and positive focus in that regard.
Personal health/care
Crazy, but just like my house, I have some personal health updates with regard to routines and health care I have to attend to and will do that.
Fun and Family
Our family has a lot of fun events planned for the months ahead--having fun events to look forward to gives me good energy for the current jobs and responsibilities.
Time to get back on track. Onward.
