We all do well when we are surrounded by a positive, loving community. How do we create and contribute to communities like that? What can we do?
Kindness and care towards each other
If we treat each other with respect, kindness, care, empathy, honesty, and forgiveness, we will set the stage for a warm, loving community. When we are hurtful, judgmental, unkind, selfish, and uncaring we will hinder the opportunity for good community.
Positive communication
We need to listen to each other with respect and not be quick to judge one another, and we have to come together with good communication, the kind of honest, thoughtful, kind communication that helps people work together, solve problems, and nurture a positive community for one another.
Vision
Good, strong communities share common vision. That vision may not be common with respect to all details, but in general the overall guiding principles, values, and actions of the group will be shared.
In the days ahead, I'll seek to continue to build a positive community with those who are also committed to kindness, care, positive communication, and positive, value-directed vision for our times together and our support for one another. Onward.
