Big, wonderful, valuable, and important celebrations typically begin once the celebration is announced and don't end until after all the stories, photos, and videos have been shared. I love celebrations because they bring happiness, focus, and light to life.
One of my sons is getting married this summer, and we've been enjoying this celebration since the engagement celebration plans began. It was wonderful to share in the engagement celebration on a sailboat in a beautiful New England town, and now with the wedding only a few weeks away, we're beginning all the wonderful, celebratory events leading up to the wedding including walking through the venue, the wedding shower, stories from the bachelor/bachelorette parties, planning and preparing the special clothes, speeches, foods, and more for the celebration, the celebration itself, and the shared stories and images after the event.
My husband and I had a wonderful wedding. Our wedding still fills me with joy when I think about it today. I hope the same will be true for my son and his future wife. We need to embrace the good times and happy celebrations as they give us good energy for the usual and sometimes tough days life presents. Onward.
