Recently a dispute close to home took a turn. I was tempted to rehash the past events related to the dispute, but decided instead to think about the lessons learned and chart a new course for the future.
Just like in this personal dispute, many in politics want to live in the past, rather than learn from past events and move forward with an eye on the present and future.
Trump, has no care for past, future, or even the day with regard to anyone's life but his own. He lives in his own head space, a narrow sphere of greed, ego, desire, and fantasy--a world unconnected to reality when it comes to leading a humane society where EVERYONE has the chance for a good life.
Some, likely for similar warped perspectives as Trump, follow along and prop up Trump's world of hate, harm, hurt, and corruption, but the rest of us need to learn from the past and move into a brighter future in a world that truly provides the resources, laws, policies, and life ways that support good living for all.
How do we do this in the midst of Trump terror--what can we do?
First, plan to march on March 28th--there are protests in almost every corner of the country, and it's likely that almost everyone who believes in a humane society can find a few minutes to join with like-minded folks. These marches make you realize that you are not alone with your desires for a fair, just, free society, and that there are many good people out there desiring a positive, proactive United States that's a beneficial member of the world community.
Next, find other ways to forward the good possible. One friend is writing letters regularly with a group of like-minded individuals in her area. Others are volunteering for political campaigns and causes. Still more are contributing dollars and other resources to good leaders who are running for re-election or to serve a first term in local, state, and national contests.
And, learn all you can about what's going on. There's a lot of manipulative media out there that wants you to believe false narratives. Try to get underneath that manipulation and learn the truth of the matter. For example, these questions are of prime importance right now:
- Was President Trump a knowing member of the Epstein crime ring that appears to have included extortion, bribery, threats, murders, trafficking of drugs and people, illegal information share, and pedophilia?
- Is President Trump beholding to Putin, and working for Putin rather than the United States. Recent reports of Putin's aid to Iran with respect of locations of American soldiers and Trump's lifting of the Russian embargo seems to headline: Trump is Putin's Puppet. If that's true, isn't Trump a traitor?
- How much money has Trump made for his personal accounts from being the President of the United States? And how much of that money was made by breaking laws and misusing public funds?
- Is it infidelity to oath of office if you populate your leadership team with inexperienced, corrupt individuals who are not fit for their positions and who don't care about the health and safety of the American people?
- Is Trump working to abandon just election processes and laws to empower himself?
In this regard, I suggest ignoring posts about Trump's lying and incompetence--that's a given. Instead, figure out what the central questions are with regard to Trump's corruption and focus on those questions.
What do you think those questions are? How will you go about researching those questions with legitimate media and other sources, and how will you share the information to advocate for change. Right now, we are losing our democracy to the embrace of deadly self-servers. This has to stop.
