There was a situation that I wanted to control. I felt I had the foresight, wisdom, experience, vision and heart to do a good job in the situation. Yet, I was not given control and had to stand on the sidelines and watch others manage in ways they felt best.
There were legal ways to challenge their leadership, but honestly, no court of law would support me since those in charge were choosing within a parameter of acceptable behavior. While the actions were not in keeping with my vision, the actions were not all-wrong or all-negative. Some might even define their choices as more pragmatic and practical than mine.
So when our vision differs from others in ways that are not critically wrong or contemptible, we simply have to let go and move on to arenas where we are more valued, needed, and appreciated. Onward.
