Painful decisions

 There are times in life when we make painful decisions. These decisions require a lot of thought because you understand that tough decisions like these come with consequences. You weigh the pros and cons, and then decide. When you make decisions like these, there are consequences. Some won't agree with you, and some may even become angry or distance themselves from you. If the decisions is made well, you will understand these consequences and be willing to pay the price. 

There are also times when you make a decision and you don't really understand the consequences. I was thinking about a decision I made like that many years ago. It was a very busy time in life, and I didn't think much about the decision I made. It was a minor matter, but the consequences were far greater than I realized. I didn't have the foresight or experience related to that decision to understand what the outcome would be. You have to forgive yourself for situations like this as you simply don't understand the situation well, and those who truly love and care about you will forgive you too. 

Big decisions are similar to forks in the road. When you make those decisions you travel one path or the other knowing that it's impossible to travel both at the same time. There are decisions, however, where a good compromise doesn't force you to choose and allows you to have a little bit of all the choices available. Onward.
