It has been an extraordinarily busy and mostly positive summer. For that I am grateful. Now it's time to think about the year ahead. What's on the agenda? What are the priorities?
Adventure
For pleasure, I'm looking forward to a number of simple adventures mostly in natural settings--this fills me up in positive ways.
Priorities
My relationships with family and friends is my first priority for the year ahead.
Finances
I don't expect to spend a lot of money in the year ahead--most of what I desire to do requires more time than money.
Projects
I have a large number of projects including the following:
- Continued garden efforts
- Possibly painting a number of areas in the house that need updating
- Holiday parties and celebrations
- Family history book
- Recipe book
- Efforts to support friends and family
Work
During the past year I've worked a bit outside of the home. I've enjoyed the jobs I had. I suspect that I'll work less in the year ahead in order to have more time for events and activities related to family and friends.
Presence
Rather than leadership, I want to be present and available for those that need me.
In the past few years I've assessed my relationships and efforts. I've parted ways with some activities and some people who were not available to me in positive, productive, loving ways. Instead I'm embracing as much positivity in life as I can. It was difficult to part with people and activities, and before parting with people I reached out to see if we could revise and remake our relationships. In some cases, that was possible and in others that has proved impossible so far. I'm still open to remaking our connections, but I won't accept less than loving actions anymore--there's no need for that. Onward.
