I noticed that a photoshop had a good sale on prints and magnets today which prompted me to look through the year's photos on my phone. I didn't take as many photos this year as last, but there were some nice snapshots of good times. When you look through an array of photos, it truly gives you a glimpse of what constitutes a good time, and with the holidays around the corner, I think the gift of a good time is about the best gift you can give to loved ones as good times bring us together and create lasting positive memories.
What constitutes a gift of a good time? Of course, that will differ from person to person, and when you consider gifting someone a good time, you have to think deeply about who that person is and what they enjoy. It's okay to gift yourself some good times too, and those gifts require the same deep thinking -- what really matters to you and what do you truly enjoy?
As always, I noticed that the good times for me and my loved ones mostly included beautiful natural settings with people we love. The events also included some wonderful adventures, good food, and time to relax too.
One reason that I'm an avid long term planner is that I love planning for and looking forward to good times almost as much as the good time itself. It's a creative process. In the year ahead, we'll likely plan more positive adventures in beautiful places to enjoy with people we love, and we'll take a few memorable photos of those good times to look back on and bring us joy. Onward.
