A complex world

In this fast moving world, there are a lot of competing interests. Because of this, we are always prioritizing about what's most important with regard to our time, energy, and resources. As I complete the final tasks related to the Thanksgiving holiday, I'm thinking about priorities.

World issues

Our leadership in the United States right now is the worst I've experienced in my life. The President and his team are very greedy, hateful, corrupt individuals which presents a problem to common people like me who want a government that is focused on creating the best possible lives for EVERYONE. I am not a "survival of the fittest (or most corrupt as this administration seems to support)," but instead I'm a supporter of finding the equations that equal good living for all. I believe those equations exist, and I believe that if we all invest in that quest, we will get closer and closer to that end.

So, how do I prioritize my time with regard to the oppression our current White House team promotes? What can I do about an administrative team whose values differ entirely from my values and vision for our country and the world?

I will do what I can which include the following peaceful, lawful actions:

  • Staying informed
  • Supporting the courageous, bright, humane individuals who are doing the good work of informing us and countering what this evil administration is doing?
  • Supporting causes and individuals who are working to promote good living for all by way of human services, education, climate/environmental action, leadership, and legal efforts.
  • Speaking up in respectful, fact-filled, value-driven ways.
  • Not supporting agencies and individuals that work against good living for all with their time, money, and energy.
I will commit to these actions in ways that I can on a daily basis.

Relationships

I want to be there for the people I love and the communities that I am apart of. I'll do what I can to contribute to their good living too. I can do this by listening, supporting their good living, and serving them via hosting holidays, preparing food, providing transportation, listening, and more.

The best we can do every day is to commit to living a good life for self and others. We need to continually learn and respond with as much love and care as we can. Onward.

Moving beyond the sadness and worry

If you read my blog, you know I've been very sad and worried about a loved one lately. His care needs are extensive and the needed ener...
