Planning helps you to be prepared for important tasks and events, and just-right planning helps you to do the job well. Just-right planning in not an exact science as sometimes the planning results in too-little preparation and sometimes the planning results in too-much preparation or off-kilter prep. The hope, remains, that it will be just-right planning.
As I think about this year's holiday planning, I may have erred on planning a bit too much without realizing just how much time each effort would take. Next year, I'll be a bit more careful about that. When planning, it's also important to leave room for the inevitable unexpected events that arise.
