This has been a super busy week that included significant change. My loved one moved to an assisted living home, and that was/is a big change. The positive aspect of the change is that my loved one has the care he needs at this juncture; care that the family could not provide adequately without significant hardship to personal health. Basically my loved one needed help throughout the evening hours which means that anyone who was tasked with caring for him did not get any sleep at night, and no one can survive without adequate sleep. So far, my loved one seems at peace and this is good.
The week also included lots of house, garden, and food prep for the Easter gathering today. If I get to work soon, I'll be ready for guests by the 11 a.m. brunch start. I want to make time during the brunch to enjoy each guest - as the extended family grows, we see less of each other since families are getting larger and the young people in the family are moving out into all kinds of interesting adventures and life ways.
Now, it's time to get started - onward.
