My house has limited closet and other storage spaces which means I don't have space for a lot of items. Since I live better when I have less things, this lack of storage space doesn't bother me, but it does demand that I think carefully about what I need and what I don't need.
My clothes' needs have changed quite. bit since I retired from my full time job. After years of a busy, busy life, I finally had time to think about what I like to wear and what I don't like to wear. Plus this new stage of life required a somewhat different wardrobe. So what do I need and what don't I need?
Gym, biking, hiking and outdoor adventure clothes
For many reasons including blocking the sun and comfort, I require a good wardrobe of outdoor adventure clothes which include the following:
- Lots of layers including a warm fleece, good workout shirts, undershirts/sports bras, rain gear, leggings, athletic socks, sneakers, water shoes, flip flops, sunscreen shirts, neck gaiters, bike shorts, and bike shirts. Having the right clothes for outdoor adventures helps you to enjoy those adventures much more.
- sneakers for sports activities
- hiking boots for rocky hiking
- water shoes for rocky lake or ocean adventures
- rubber garden shoes for gardening
- slip ons for easy daily wear
- leather loafers
- dressy sandals and shoes for special occasions
- old sneakers for dirty work around the house
- flip flops for beach and other summer events
