Living amongst government corruption

If you read the news, you'll note that there is a great deal of inhumanity and corruption at play in our government right now. This is worrisome and hurtful to far too many people.

This is what's happening:

  • Rather than a strategic approach to intelligently and thoughtfully manage government, the Republican administration is fostering a random purge of multiple information resources, experts, and beneficial programs. This purge seems to be scrubbing our government of helpful, humane programming that appears to be targeting people with less power and money in society--this has the potential to greatly harm the wellbeing of far too many Americans thus weakening our country in countless ways.
  • The government is ridding society of needed environmental protections. This is creating a society where essential clean water, clean air, and clean soil are compromised. This will also create a society with greater health problems, greater violence since people will be competing for limited needed resources, and less natural lands to enjoy.
  • The government appears to be making it easy for a relatively small number of corrupt wealthy people to prey on our collective resources and organizations in illegal and greedy ways. This creates a too-wide wage gap and a too-powerful group of corrupt individuals who will not work for the freedom, rights, and welfare of most people.
  • The government appears to be damaging all services and supports for most people--this weakens who we are and who we can be.
Many government leaders are attacking our freedom, rights, and welfare with the aim of increasing their personal wealth, power, privilege, and pleasure. They clearly don't care about humanity and are working in deadly, evil ways to harm too many in society. This is hateful and wrong.

What can we do?

Protest

March and stand with others who want the best for all. There is great solidarity in joining with others to urge leaders to do the right thing with regard to our collective rights, freedom, and ability to live our best possible lives.

Support the good

Be more discerning with who you do business with. Support the best companies, services, experts, leaders, and groups amongst us. Try not to shop or do business with those who support hatred, harm, inhumanity, or hateful prejudice in any way.

Learn the truth of the matter

Do your research via trustworthy information sources, people, and places -- know the truth of the matter and choose well with that truthful information in mind.

Be courageous

Don't succumb to the fear mongering that too-greedy, corrupt, dishonest leaders promote.

Do the good that you can

Find ways to positively interact with society, ways that promote the greater good.

Onward.
