To do the right thing for yourself and others requires self respect, respect for others, discipline, knowledge, and focus. When it comes to positive patterns ingrained in you since childhood, it's not that difficult to do the right thing, but when the "right thing" is something that's based on new knowledge, perspective, or focus, doing the right thing demands more energy and commitment as you shift old patterns into new and better life ways.
To shift old patterns into new and better life ways profits from planning, good rationale, and plenty of positive support too. I'm thinking about that today as I work to shift some old patterns into new and better patterns--this shift is the result of new knowledge and greater motivation for change in some life arenas.
