We are filled with dreams. Some of us have more than others, but nevertheless, I think that most people have a number of dreams that move them in life.
When a dream doesn't come true, there's often a period of mourning that occurs. Once your mourn the lost dream, you're able to revise and redirect yourself.
Recently, I had to mourn a dream/expectation that I held on to tightly for probably too long. I really wanted this dream to come true as I thought it to be very positive for my life and the lives of others. Now I realize that it's not worth pursuing this dream anymore--I'm moving on. I gave it my best try and I tried to achieve this dream in countless ways. Moving on now feels good--I'm ready to embrace the good around me and move ahead of this dream that died as I imagined it.
If you have lots of dreams, it's not as troubling if you have to let go of a few since you have other dreams to fall back on. As a big dreamer, I have lots and lots and lots of dreams, so I'll focus on those right now. Onward.
