So many people gave Epstein and his cronies a pass on their dehumanizing behavior with children. When we give a pass to dehumanizing behavior, that behavior only gets worse over time ruining far too many lives. We can't turn a blind eye to illegal, poor behavior thinking it will right itself. Instead, if we speak up early on we might actually help people to direct their lives in better ways which may mean far less suffering and pain.
Why did Epstein and his cronies get a pass early on? Of course, money, pleasure, and power play a big role in this story. Epstein avoided problems because he lured people to support him and join him in his illegal activity with money, pleasure, and power. There were likely threats and bribes involved in this story too. The longer the Epstein dehumanizing behavior lasted, the more lives were impacted in troubling ways.
We can't allow the small infractions as they lead to far greater, far more harmful infractions and crimes later on. Onward.
