Life hand us some unfortunate events. We have the power to choose how we deal with those unfortunate events.
Cruelty
Cruelty is tough especially since we typically have empathy for cruel people because cruel people have likely faced challenging circumstances which made them cruel to begin with. So when it comes to cruelty, I think it's best to ask cruel people not to be cruel and then if the cruelty continues, distance yourself from the cruelty or work in positive ways to put an end to the cruelty if possible.
Illness and physical challenges
This is a tough arena, and I think it's best to find others who understand what you are going through in order to gain strength and knowledge as to how to best deal with the situation. I also believe that rather than suffering with regard to your challenges, play to the strengths you have.
Loneliness
In situations of loneliness, it's critical that you reach out. Helping others is often one way to help with loneliness. Also joining groups of likeminded people helps too.
Frustration
Sometimes no matter how hard we try to make change or improve situations, we don't achieve success. That's when frustration occurs. In situations like this, prayer, reflection, counseling, rest, and patience can be very helpful.
Life isn't perfect, but we can choose to work towards making our lives as good as they can be.
