Moving on

 Over the past few years I've reconnected with many friends from all different chapters of my life. The web of relationships are extensive, likely more extensive than years past due to the ready ease of connecting with people via the Internet. Yet even though the Internet makes connecting easier, time is still limited, and you simply can't be with all friends, relatives, and other acquaintances all the time--time has limits, energy has limits, and there are limits to our resources too. 

In life we move along, some move along with us and others veer off on their own paths. And no matter how much you may care for people, in some instances, your paths may grow apart for all kinds of reasons including priorities, interests, distance, jobs/school, children, grandchildren, and more. As I consider the sadness that sometimes goes along with relationships that grow apart, I realize that happens and what's important is living your best possible life with the people who are traveling with you at any particular time. Some with travel with you for most of your life, others for many decades, some for years, and others much more fleeting. That's the way life is. Onward.
